- A box of 3 dozen diyas
Due to the pandemic, this year a lot of difficulties are being faced by the underprivileged who were already living marginally - street vendors, Diya makers, and others.
We came across one such community that has been severely affected due to the pandemic - the underprivileged tribals and farmers in Satara, Maharashtra who make organic & biodegradable Panchgavya Diyas.
Handmade by rural women of Satara, these diyas are made using cow dung and other elements like milk, ghee, aromatic herbs & curd. 100% organic, bio-degradable & chemical-free, it contains no charcoal & has no carbon footprint.
Did you know? Once burnt out, it can be mixed with water & used as manure for plants.
This year, more than ever, Diwali needs to be about being generous. Join us in this drive. This pack will be sold at no-profit and the proceedings will go to rural families of Satara.
Do note: The diyas are very fragile as it is purely made of dried organic elements and hence there would be a possibility of slight breakages during the transit.
