Getting the right cloth diaper fit for your baby is very crucial in itself because no mother would want the cloth diapers to leak! For that you need to ensure that you have put on the cloth diaper properly. You just have to follow these important 3 steps to have the right cloth diaper fit for you baby.
Step 1 – Resize the diaper:
A one size cloth diaper typically fits babies from 5kgs to 17kgs. Resizing the diaper is a one time thing and you need not do it again and again unless your baby falls out of the weight category. For a baby weighing 4-5kgs, using the lowest rise setting is apt. Use the medium rise for babies weighing 5-8kgs, large rise for 8-11kgs and the extra large for 12kgs to 17kgs. This also depends on how chubby or lean your baby is. Read more about cloth diapering here.
Step 2 – Place the soaker:
Stuff the soaker inside the pocket diaper ensuring that the soaker lays flat inside the pocket and is not folded anyhow. Incase of a cover diaper, place the soaker on top of the cover. The Superbottoms Plus already has a stitched soaker. You may fold the excess part of soaker while using the diaper on smaller size. An additional snap is provided to attach the booster.
Step 3 – Put the diaper on the baby.
Make sure there are no gaps around the thighs. The diaper should be snug enough. Look up for some videos here to get a right fit. Watch now!
If you are using a Superbottoms pocket diaper or cover diaper with a microfiber soaker, change it every 2-4 hours depending on how much your baby pees. A Superbottoms Plus usually lasts for 4-5 hours during the day time and about 8+ hours during the night.
